I've moved the bathroom suite around and as a consequence the locations of the different zones has changed.

This means that the extractor fan is now located approx 8 foot high above zone 1. This is effectively on the border between zones 1 and 2.

The fan I have is IP44 rated, mains voltage on triple pole isolating switch rigged into the light circuit.

The question is - is IP44 OK for use in this location or do I need to shell out a fortune on an IP65 fan?

I've searched around for specifics and an AMDEA document hints that IP44 is OK.

Thanks in advance for any info
