Hi all,

Got an internal cast iron stack. See pics.

Want to move toilet and refit bathroom. Am planning to have a partition boxed in section with concealed cistern, back to wall toilet and sit on basin, so at least all the pipework and wastes will be hidden.

Am I going to have major problems with the stack? Should I get it fully replaced or can I connect into it with the new fittings?

Thanks
Dan

Be easier for your new wastes.

Not sure it will!

Because to get the fall internally I need to connect the waste to the stack below the level of the floorboards, which is difficult.

Why oh why can't it just be external! Its like 50's builders did these things on sodding purpose!

Dont blame the builder! ( In this particular case! )

At one time the Building regulations required the soil stack to be internal.

It took several years for them to realise it was far better outside.
