I would much appreciate confirmation that the zone 2.25m above the bath to the ceiling is zone 2.

I ask because I would have thought that 2.25m would be measured from inside the bath rather than from the floor level, which I understand the regulations specify.

It is my intention to fit a zone 2 (ipx4) rated fan above the bath.

Thanks.

There has been no Zone 3 since this time last year.

So the area more than 2.25m from the FLOOR is out of zones. But the fan must be suitable for the environment.

The info re what and where is in the On-Site Guide.

PS - Remember that this is notifiable work.

Thanks Taylor, yes my mistake, I meant to say zone 2.
Trouble is, I see many zone diagrams and they are not all the same.

With respect, should you be doing notifiable electrical work in a bathroom if you do not know even what the zones are?
