The Hw out tap does get hot as the pre heat store diminishes and then boiler takes approx 40sec to ignite to heat water up. As this happens the water goes cold.

Pre heat icon (tap) flashes even when stat is not in pre heat mode???
If i turn Hw stat off the pin retracts and when i turn stat up to either normal or pre heat the pin makes contact with microswitch, so that sequence seems ok.

Could the diaphram be perished or could it be more serious linked to PCB?
(havnt had time to chech diaphram yet)

Various threads on net seem to point to hw ntc thermister?....But this wouldnt keep pre heat function on when turned off at hw stat...Would it?

Hhhhhhhmmmmmmmm..........scratcy chin situation!!!!!!!!

Better not to think too much.

Does the boiler respond to a demand for hot water?

Its quicker to measure a sensor resistance than it is to write about it!

yea, boiler respond s to demand............but seems to be a lag between microswitch making contact to ignition?

diaphragm operates instantly when tap is opened.

thanx Agile 4youpoint made 'dont think 2 much'................i'll do just that

cheers
