My Baxi Bahama 100 combi boiler lives in the loft and is controlled from the optional Baxi electronic programmer/roomstat in the hallway.
The boiler has run reliably since installation in 2000 apart from the usual flow switch failure every couple of years, however recently the boiler trips every two or three days with non-volatile lockout; so far I have replaced the control thermistor and overload thermostat with genuine parts but the problem persists, I also have a new flame sensing electrode which I have not fitted yet.
Do any of the central heating gurus out there have any ideas as to the root cause of my problem, or do I need the services of a Baxi heating Engineer.

Thanks in anticipation

Thanks gordongas,
Would that be because the GC is intermittently failing to open on demand, if so are there any tests that I can do the confirm that the Honeywell GV assy is causing the problem, since the pump, fan and pressure switch appear to operate ok.

Mr fixit.

I have never yet found a gas valve to be faulty on your model.

That kind of problem has always been the PCB after the flame detection electrode and lead has been checked.

They are difficult boilers as you probably already know.

Thanks Tony,
I will check out the sensing electrode and cabling next, I suspect if that is ok then maybe I should replace the CVT module next.
