Hi all,
This weekend I am adding under floor heating to a new extension.
My question is when i drain the heating system will it still be OK
to leave the boiler turned on just for hot water ?

Many thanks in advance

With all due respect, do you think you are up to installing underfloor heating yourself if you don't know the very basics of your boiler?

so is there a way i can drain the system and keep the boiler filled ?

I don't think it takes much to take the flow and return
from a removed rad to a manifold and lay 2 loops op underfloor pipes !!
I have changed and moved rads in the past with no problems.

This is going to take a bit longer so the reason for my question.

Paul

PS: thanks for your comments

Before draining system isolate boiler with the valves on the heating circuit under the boiler.

This will retain pressure in the boiler so it can work on DHW.
