Before you hit Reset again, NOTE CAREFULLY which lights on the front panel are On, Off and flashing. The various combinations indicate what the problem is!
Also, because of the large number of different Baxi combis including the number '80' in the name, please tell us the GC number of the boiler (probably something like 47-075-xxx).

Hi.croydoncorgi & baxpoti
Thanks for your speedy reply when the boiler needs resetting there is a green ON light and above this is the RESET light which is red and both lights are constant. The number of the boiler is GC 47-075-16. Hope this info is useful to you.
Cheers

Oh dear- the fog rolls in! According to my docs for Baxi 80HE plus, the controls are arranged with a Reset button (left) and temperature control knob/ on/off (right) above 3 lights: Red lockout (left) Green burner on (centre) and Green mains on (right).

Assuming the light codes are the same although the layout is apparently different, just Red lockout and Green mains on indicates ignition problem (NOT overheat).

Get a CORGI engineer to repair it.

Then let us know what fault code you have!

Hi.there croydoncorgi.
It is not a fog it is a red mist of frustration. The controls are different on this model they are as follows
1. Summer/Winter Button
2.Domestic Hot Water
3.Flame Failure Light Red (Reset)
4.Burner ON Green
5.Mains ON Green.
There are no dials. The installer has been to it twice, with no success. Has this model been discontinued?

Sorry baxpoti I cannot supply you with a fault code

baxpoti. Do you think it would be prudent to suggest to the installer that it could be the electrodes causing the problem!!

You have asked on this forum for an answer to your problem.

How you deal with the answers ...... up to you!

baxpoti
The answer is that I will probably find another corgi regd.fitter to have a look at the boiler.
Thanks for your assistance.
