Hi,

My inlaws are experiencing a problem with the DHW on their two year old Baxi. To get any hot water from a tap you now have to open the tap fully before you hear the boiler come alive and start heating the water. Any ideas on the source of the problem?

Thanks

A dodgy DHW flow switch, possibly ?

My old Baxi combi (Bahama) had a dodgy flow switch which used to make the amount you opened the tap critical - too little and the boiler would fire up, the flow would slow down and the boiler would lock out - too much and the water would take an age to heat up !

Changing the switch helped.

One of these will fix the problem.

Part 248063 if it's not an instant. 248734 if it is an instant!

You can buy the cheaper 'diaphragm kit' but these don't always, cure the problem.
