Hi guys , I have a baxi instant 80e a plumber fixed a leak and water got into the pcb which is now dry . I have hot water working perfectly , when I switch on the the CH it heats up through the indicator lights and gets to the max and shuts off , the flow pipes heat up inside the boiler but not out if it eg rads and pipes out if boiler. The taps on flow and return and open and pressure is at 2 , the pump is working to

Sounds like the return filter is blocked.

I put a hose on the first radiator out of the door and put the filling loop on and was pumping through fine , but would the filling loop by pass the filter ? Thanks for the reply

Sounds to me as if the diverter valve is not operating correctly.

Why is the "plumber" not fixing it?

He spent 3 1/2 hours on it this morning , the plumber only had a small leak to fix on a perfectly well operating boiler now it's a lot worse off , watching him was painful and that's why I got on here . The pin on the valve is moving when water is demanded ?

Remove the small screw holding the black tap onto the flow/return valves under the boiler, they can sometimes be stiff and when turned the tap swivels on spindle without turning it.

The flats on the spindles should be at the sides, rather than L to R, which would be closed.

Return filter blockage poss, although shouldn't suddenly happen

Could be airlock in system if he didn't isolate boiler whilst draining.

Could be bypass in boiler jammed open with crud after drain down, causing re circulation within, although would expect to still get heat in flow pipe.

Thanks for the replys , was a fault with the pcb not telling the motorised valve to open up . Thanks again
