We are about to have our old oak parquet floor sanded by 'experts' and they tell us that afterwards, we do not need to use a 'vitrifier' nor a 'pore blocker' before we put on the varnish .... which we find a bit surprising. It would be great if someone could confirm whether this is true or not

..... and if it is a good idea to put one or both of them on, could you explain what the difference is between them?
