Hi All,
I have a Beko Frsot-Free Fridge Freezer, model num CXF 5083W. Its about four years old.
It just suddenly stopped cooling in both sections.
I turned it off for a several days. There is a thing about ice buildup in drainage areas, and some water came out, not much. When switched on the compressor seems to start up and run ok, but only for a few mins, then stops.
Ive checked the thermostat setting, its a electronic type, see picture. Basically its a variable resistor, which wired to a control board somewhere. I dont know where. I removed the thermostat unit, and with a multimeter checked the variable resitor changing as I moved the setting wheel. Checked at the wiring plug too. All seems good.
I can find a replacement for the board easily, and its cheap, but I really think I don't need it.
So what next to check, and in what order ?
Could it be the main compressor ? Is this a DIY job ?
What about the Compressor start relay ? Ive found these, but £30 each, non returnable.
Could it be leaked gas ? How to check and fix ?
Could it be the main control board ? Where is it ?
Any thing else ?
Does anyone have a parts list and/or exploded diagram to work out where the various parts are, like the main control board, the compressor starter relay etc ?
Any help apprecaited.
Cheers, Colin.
