Black marks on white towels

I read, one of your members discovered black marks on his laundry after it had been washed. well we had the same problem, but only on white towels. we tried everything, from hot water flushing, vinegar,bleach sprays,soda crystals. we even called an engineer and he could not find a problem with the machine, so we gave up and bought a new machine.. to our horror the same thing happened on the very first wash... Could it be a problem with the plumming....HELP!!!!!

Did you find out why this was happening, I have the same proble.

One possibility is contamination of the hot water supply.

Do you have a hot water tank heated from a boiler ?

If you do and the tank is old then there may be a leak in the coil that is inside the hot water tank. This leak will allow the water from the radiator system to get into the hot water in the tank.

Radiator water can be very dirty with rust particles that make persistant stains.
