board finish

hi all,can someone please tell me if i can use board finish on my solid walls because i am blocking off a doorway and plastering the rest of the wall but im not sure if i can use board finish or do i have to go and buy multi finish or something else.

you can use it, but you won't necessarily get a good quality finish for your plaster. it depends on how good/smooth your solid walls are.

different plaster types are designed to adhere to different background - board finish works best on nice smooth plasterboard.

for the sake of £5-6 quid a bag, got get yourself some multi finish to use if the solid walls are in good nick.
