Hi everyone,

I would appreciate any help or advice you could give me.
I have a combi boiler which is used just for hot water (therefore not sure if its called a combi, but its hot water on demand rather than a water tank).

The pilot light will stay lit for any period of time without problem, and if you need hot water it will also provide this for a few minutes.
However if you run the hot water for a shower, or basically have the boiler running for maybe 5 mins or more, it will shut down.

I have watched it cut out, and it literally just clicks everything off instantly, including the pilot.

What could be causing this?

Initially I thought thermocouple, however the pilot will stay lit for hours at a time? Secondly I thought some sort of overheating cut off, but I'm not sure if my boiler has this, how can I tell?

If I can provide more information please ask, the boiler make is Neckar.

Thanks in advance for your time!

it could be an overheat tripping out the thermocouple or a spillage device again connected to the thermocouple.
Best get it checked by a gringo gas man:cool:
