I am looking to replace my 25 year old Gloworm gas boiler. The boiler has been trouble free for most of it's life but I feel I should replace it before it starts giving me problems.
The capacity is 60.000 BTUs and I use it to heat both central heating radiators and water heating on a vented system.

I would be grateful if someone could reccomend a suitable replacemnt. My priority would be reliablity

Thanks in advance

If you want reliability, stick with the old boiler. There's no money to be made out of reliability so it's not really on the market these days.

chrishutt has a point, but if you want to spend some money then, as a suggestion, you could buy (now) whatever spare parts are still available and lay them down ready for the day that your boiler goes wrong.

The gas valve and the the heat exchanger are the main candidates for failure, plus any model-specific electrical components.

If you post the model of boiler that you have then you might get some more detailed advice from others on the forum.
