boiler's flame keeps switching off and on

Hi,
I have a combi poterton boiler E100 boiler . ance the central heating is on the light is on OK but the flame keeps switching off and on. Is this the cause of poor central heating?. The flame ignites switches off after about 15 seconds then on again after another 10 seconds+- . It repeats this cycle constantly.
The result is a very poor heating on a three floor house. The heating works for the first 40 minutes after that goes down,

any sugestions wiil be vary apreciate.

Yes, that would do it!
Boiler probably just needs a service, maybe air flow or flame problem though can be other things.

Are you sure it's combi though, and not a Profile?
