Following on from my previous question about dry lining the bottom half of my downstairs toilet, I've discovered that the depth of the old plaster plus the fact that the walls aren't exactly perpendicular won't allow enough gap to fit plasterboard.

I've already PVA'd the walls ready for the foam adhesive and was going to use Hardwall but have found various threads saying not to PVA.

The walls are a combination of concrete blocks, brick and the black ash blocks. The depth of the fill will vary between 18mm and 8mm, so in some places will need two coats. I'm not concerned about a final coat of plaster as it will be tiled again.

So should I use Bonding?

Yes mate but hardwall is ok just you need to reapply pva and hardwall when tacky or better yet grit it

Hardwall will remulsifi the pva or whatever but too slowly so needs tacky but bonding straight on top of dried pva is cool but needs pva as bonding will fail on such high suction
