Bosch dishwasher SMS 4472 GB hot or cold fill?

My dishwasher has run without problem for 8 years it has ben run on hot fill only. over xmas it began to get stuck and not fill up prperly. the Bosch exper t came out charged one hundred pounds and replaced a valve at the bottom. It still doesnt fill properly and has to be nudged along each step of the program, the Bosch man said we should use a self cutting tap and use only cold fill and it should make a difference. Can any one help. we are now trying to install the self cutting tap. does any one know if it should be on cold fill and will this solve the probelm

should be on cold but come on its worked on hot for 8 years now he said ouu need cold to make it go.... think you better call him back again or get a refund..

NO No No, please dont fit a self cutting tap, they are a pain, and cause grief, they have been known to seal again (almost)
