bristan shower problem

hello
i have had a plumber out to fit my bristan cascade traditional thermostatic shower, however although hot/ cold water comes out he cannot turn it on/off using the control.
he is stumped..... just wondering whether any one has any ideas??? many thanks sarah

Has he removed the cartridge and checked that the seals are all there, and in the right place.

A problem such as this would normally indicate a problem with the seals, depending on which Bristan unit it is will depend on how easy they are replace.

As to my knowledge there are a few lol

Have you had any success in removing the cartridge? If so send a picture to "[email protected]" they are really good Id'ing the unit from pictures.

Have you got the correct model - high pressure or gravity fed?

Thanks for all the suggestions, i'll pass them onto my plumber and hopefully he can sort the problem
