I am having a new built in oven delivered (about 2100kw) and want to prepare appropriate connections for it to be installed. I understand that it comes with a plug on the end of its cable - can this be plugged in to the switched socket that is part of the main cooker control panel, if it has a 13 amp fuse?
Thanks,
Larry

If you really mean you are having a 2.1 megawatt oven installed, then you are going to have to ask the rec for a bigger electricity intake...

If however its a typo and its really 2100w (or 2.1kw), then yes, however you may want to consider installing a dedicated radial circuit for it, rather than having it rather untidily plugged in above the work surface...
