Can I put a fused spur off a cooker socket outlet??

that could mean nothing, "three fat cables" i would have expected a more technical explanation than that.
what one person might call fat might infact be tiny.
i once herd 1.5mm lighting cable described as "a massive cable"
so.. you dident realy say anything along those lines

Well - no, I didn't, not as such. In my mind's eye I was envisaging the problem of getting 3 6mm or 10mm cables in there, which was why I thought that an outlet plate with a socket would be a useful jobbie, just like a CCU with one.

I guess because I was thinking of that problem, I was just assuming cables the same size.

what about a small CU hidden in a cupboard and connected after the cooker control unit

this will give plenty of wiring room and will allow fitment of suitable protection for the hob oven hood etc
