Caple DI414 emergency

Hi, I am in a rented house and my landlords take AGES to sort stuff out in the house, so I thought I would try and fix this one ourselves!
We have a Caple DI414 integral washing machine and it starts to wash (well makes the noises) but then starts beeping and the start button light flashes 4 times. Is this something I can fix myself? I have 2 kids (3 including my fiancée!) and need to get it back up and running ASAP.
