cat converter and mot

Hi everyone

I have just noticed the lug (small shaped bar) which holds the cat converter including exhaust onto a rubber grommet has corroded and fallen off.
At the moment I have it supported by wire which is fine but can I fix a more permanent bracket around the cat to support it hence complying with mot regs.

Any advice would be truly appreciated.
