Hello,

Is cavity wall insulation worth it?

I've read some horror storied about cavity wall insulation installs, ie insulation material coming through holes, overheating wires, cracking pipes etc etc.

We don't have live wires running through cavity now as we had house rewired but we do have some old wires now disconnected that run through the walls.

We also have two external security lights wired from the inside (ie wire runs from switch through wall on the outside).

We also have pipes running from the attahced garage through ther wall and across floorboards.

Any tips on what I should watch out for if I call in firms to quote?
