Hello - can anyone advise please.
I have a Baxi Solo Wall Mounted Balanced Flue Boiler (WM 50/4), for central heating and hot water. It was fitted 18 years ago but I don't know if the pump has ever been renewed.
The pulsating noise the pump usually makes is sounding louder than usual when the central heating is on - but not when the water heating is on at the same time as the central heating - then the noise seems to stop.
I don't know whether it's best to wait until the noise gets louder - or is it likely to pack up suddenly ?
I would appreciate it if anyone can tell me what this might be. Thanks.

get it sorted sooner rather than later, are you going to attempt to DIY, or get a pro in.

Thanks Mick. The thing is if it is likely to be the pump I have mate who's an electrician. But if it's a gas problem then he can't do it as he's not Corgi registered. Thanks for replying. Caznot.

if pump is noisy its unlikely to be a gas problem, more likely a dirty system problem

Thanks Mick. You could be right. It's at least a couple of years since the system was checked, cleaned etc. I will get someone in. Cheers. Caznot.
