I have a problem with my central heating. The boiler (Ideal Elan 2 with Honnywell control) fires up but won't stay on long enough to heat up to the correct temparature.

I have replaced the thermocouple - no joy.

I have turned the hall thermostat up to the max and also the boiler termostat knob up to the max, but still it fires up for about 2 minutes and then goes off, coming on agin after about 15 minutes.

Where do I look next?

Thanks

The Elan 2 is listed a s positive pressure boiler so I hope you replaced the covers correctly and carried out the necessary checks on combustion cover seals.

Thermocouple changed WHY???? Nothing to do with boiler temp only detects pilot is lit.
