CH not coming back on

Hi,

My Mum's CH is misbehaving. She has a open, gravity system and pressurised bottle where I have checked the pressure, it's on 2.

The CH comes on and heats the rads, but after an hour it turns off (I would imagine it's reaches the thermostat temp), however as the temp drops it does come back on. If we turn off the CH and back on again it repeats only to go through the same cycle.

Anybody got any idea what it could be pls?

Hi, eventually I got around to sending pictures. In addition, she has a Potterton controller and wireless thermostat (batteries changed). The boiler is an Ideal HE18.

OK looks like you have a sealed pressurised primary system and an open vent HW cylinder, the problem has nothing to do with the pressure in the primary system, it is an external control problem, we need a lot more information to be able to advise you , pics of everything is best

What’s the wireless controller? As Ian said, photos of motorised valve(s), thermostat, receiver, programmer and boiler thermostat for starters.
