Hi

I have a new CH system complete with an oil fired condensing Grant boiler plus radiators. System was thoroughly flushed with Fernox Restorer then protected with Fernox MB1.

The manual states that the CH output temp ranges from 65 deg C to 80 deg C.

Noted tonight that even after an hour the CH flow temp did not go above 40 deg C - used clip on thermometer. Got suspicious when I could hold onto the pipe without much discomfort.

Bled quite a bit of air out of the system and the sealed pressure dropped to 0.5 bar. WIll need to charge it back to 1 bar in the morning.

Any suggestions as to why the output temp is low ? Obvious one would be the boiler control stat ?

Cheers

What happened to the Heatslave 20/25 ???

If its a new boiler then what does the installer say about the problem?

The HeatSlave is in a house which we are renting. Grant boiler is in the house which we are building.

Have not spoke to the installer as yet - still on holiday.

Could you kindly give me any pointers as to what could be wrong ?

I have no idea as I have never seen it! The installer should know!

But after the totally useless installer I met today , perhaps not!
