Change of boiler...cost?

I hope that I've got this right, that combi boilers are better for smaller homes where the demand for water is less?
How much roughly would it cost to remove the four foot high unvented water storage tank and also the boiler that feeds it and replace it with a combi boiler? And how long would this task take?

Space, few people at the house and not much water used ....and a boiler and associated system that is a bit too technical for us!
