Dear all - I'm new to this so please stay with me. I had hoped that I could simply replace a fluorescent light with a standard ceiling rose by switching the l,n and e wires on a like for like basis. When I did this however I turned the power back on at the mains and the light came on without the light switch being on. I opened up the light switch (the only one to control the only kitchen light) and there were two wires in Com and one in L1 (nothing in L2). There are three cable bundles feeding the switch. All the neutrals are tied together as are all the earths. I presume one cable is from the mains, one goes to the ceiling light, but I'm not sure where the other goes.
Can anyone solve the puzzle?
Thanks
