I'm looking to alter my chicken coop so that it has a wooden strip (approx 10 cm, wide any thickness) around the perimeter of the base. This will allow me to fill the coop with sand and the sand won't escape through the sides.

I'm thinking of buying plywood for this. Does anyone sell plywood strips of 10 cm width? I can cut down to the required lengths. All I can see on Wickes etc are plywood sheets which are too wide, or will Wickes cut this down to my requirement?

Also, any advice whether plywood is the right way to go (or not) will be appreciated!

Cheers

Have I forfeited my £10 for not mentioning Wickes on social media?

I thought Travis Perkins owned them so therefore it qualifies !

daverave7, Hi.

OK Not an answer to the Original post, [do not use ply!]

But?

Having just cleaned out my Coupe, or more accurately, the Chicken Coupe and removed the wet Straw liberally sprinkled with Guano I really do not fancy trying to shift so much wet sand now and again? the Straw is bad enough especially inside the Coupe that in my case is about 1.0.m high?

Ken.
