My 2000 Citroen Berlingo 1.9D Van stopped on the road the other day. It seemed to have a radiator leak and the temp gauge went to 3/4. I was going to stop at the garage, but didnt make it the last 200yds :(

It simply stopped, with all lights on the dash coming on.

I walked to garage, got water and refilled radiator (which i had not been aware of problem with until that day). I waited until temp gauge went back down to zero, but it still wouldn't start. There is a small red light at the top of the temp gauge which comes on the minute I turn on ignition and the van seems to try to start but won't actually turn over.

It has been suggested to me that this is some sort of 'cut-out' mechanism, but how do I go about resetting it? I am going to replace the radiator this week, but have no idea where to look for this cut-out switch.

Any help appreciated.
