citroen saxo 1.1 oil filter

Im changing the oil and filter on a citroen saxo 1.1. Ive located the filter canister (black) to the right hand side of the exhaust manifold, but I cant figure out how to remove the canister to get at the filter. Its got a large (28mm AF) hex nut on the top and an indication of 25kN torque. Ive managed to get a spanner around the nut but in the confined space she wont budge. Any tips?

probably a socket on a long extension bar / wobble bar. They do tend to make these things difficult!
