Can anyone help by telling me how much sand, cement and gravel I need to lay a base for a shed. 8ft x 8ft x 2ins

2 inch thickness will not work. It will just crack into pieces.

Either beef it up to 100mm or use paving slabs
 
You would require a smidge over a tonne at the correct (100mm) thickness and about 7 x 25kg bags of dust.

Buy a tonne of ballast and see how you go. It won't matter that it is a wee bit thinner than 100mm but 50mm is pushing it.

I suggest that 50mm thick paving slabs are perfectly OK for a garden shed and reasonably cheap. It's what my shed has been put on and I've had no trouble for years.
