Hi,

I have just moved in to a bugelow and have discovered we have the Henrad combi system.

All hot water taps in kitchens cloakrooms and garage are very hot which is good, however the hot water tap to the bath is luke warm to say the least.

The type of taps we have in the bath are a combination of hand held shower, power shower and a dual hot/cold water tap, the water is the same when using any of these, please can you HELP!!!!

By the way the serial number of the boiler is one of these :

C8OFF OR N1183111OO OR GC No. 47-348-05

Cheers

Sounds like you just discovered the built-in limitation of any 'instant' water heater, including ALL Combi boilers. The faster cold water goes through the boiler, the lower the temperature at the tap. The boiler will normally be running flat-out when in hot water mode, so you just cannot get any more heat than it's giving you. The only way to get hotter water is to turn the bath tap down a bit to reduce the flow. Your bath tap is probably much larger than the basin one so it looks like the same flow rate but actually it's much faster.

The performance of your boiler will be described on its spec sheet as 'x degrees increase in temperature at y litres per minute': with a large jug and a thermometer you can easily check whether it's working efficiently
