Combi boiler keeps sparking

[problem]

I have a halstead quattro gold combi and all of a sudden when the heating is turned on the burner lights virtually immediately but the sparking continues ( can hear it even with burner flame on) this results in a shutdown after a few seconds and an ignition lockout restart, but the same happens again. Very occasionally it does actually start properly when sparking eventually stops.....

Help, any advice !!
