Combo boiler - 20 seconds hot then not

Been having a combi problem for a while. Water round hot for 20 seconds when a tap is on then cold for about 30 then hot for 20....... Can hear the pilot fire up each time.

CH is fine.

Most of the house hot water is on a hot water tank and pump. It's only really the kitchen hot that comes direct from the combi.

Ideas?

What boiler is it? there are several of makes and model of combi boiler that have been made over the last 30 years.

A shyte boiler, typically installed on a shyte /poorly installed or maintained system.

Chances are the plate heat exchanger is clogged up.

I prefer to think of it as dry wit and calling a spade a spade.... given the presumptions of some posters on here it helps to keep one sane.

Dan is probably right. Blocked plate heat exchanger or faulty primary thermistor. If that is an ideal Mini it has status lights built in to the PCB Which should help diagnosis. You probably need a boiler tech.
