Reading to the end, I got the impression that it was written by someone from Massachusettes who was annoyed at what a certain senior US politician intends to do about gay marriage (or has he already done it?)

I thought it was going to be written by someone from Yorkshire or Tyneside talking about shandy-supping types though.
