Hi All,
We started to see damp/condesation on one of the walls in our conservatory.
Damp was located between the ground level and about 50cm above.
It turned out that our neighbour has put some flower beds and compost bin very close (30cm) to our wall.
Also some of the soil was actually reaching the wall.
Now I have dug up the soil - 30cm deep so the wall and some foundation is exposed.
Damp is gone now but my question what should I do next?
- apply damp proof membrane to foundation
- apply damp proof liquid to wall above ground level
- put polythen sheet and cover it with soil.
Any ideas would be appreciated
