Hi,
I have just built a large extension and going to use a seperate fuse box to supply it. It will be 7 meters (Cable length) away from the mains meter.
I believe i would need to install a 80a isolater within 3 meters of the meter and use 25mm cable to the new fuse box. Is this all correct and is there any problems using 25mm meter tails over this sort of distance.
Thank you

Generally need your own overcurrent protection if going over over 3m, but your milegae may vary, so speak to your DNO

Ideally want a single point of isolation, but everyone has their own opinions how the reg sited for this often should be interpretted.

Best option usually involves a switch fuse and some big SWA!

Phone your supplier and ask for an Isolator.

Will save you buying one and then you won't have to cut the seals to put your new tails in. ;)
