Again you are showing your lack of knowledge. SMPTs of the type for powering halogen lamps have an AC output of tens of kHz. AC supples cannot have smoothing caps. DC SMPTs obviously have smoothing caps.
We were specifically talking about these lamps when you linked to a completely different lamp to try and prove your point. Why is your completely different lamp more relevant than my completely different lamp?
