My house originaly had 2 bedrooms, but one of these was converted to a bathroom in 1985. I now want to convert it back in to a bedroom. However, the buildings inspector has told me I must replace the window as it doesn't comply with the emergency exit regs. All other houses have the same kind of window I have at the moment (never converted that bedroom).
Is this right, as I understood there to be no need to inform building regs of this conversion (the visit was re the new bathroom!)
