As i'm doing a full rewire on the ground floor, it makes sense for me to plan for the future.
Is 6mmsq cable and a 40a breaker enough for future proofing the cooker, or should I put in a 10mmsq cable and 63a breaker?
Also, I am going to put in a seperate supply to my garage via a split tail breaker near the CU. This will then be run in 3 core armoured about 20-25m to a mini CU in the garage. I plan to use domestic welders in the future, so will 6mmsq armoured be enough?
A mate (spark) believes that welders are usually run off 16a supply as they are basically a step up transformer - is this right?
Many thanks
