Hi,

I hope someone can help me on this small matter, does anyone know what aperture height I must have above a range cooker that is going to be positioned in an old fireplace. The fireplace has been gyplined and boarded but corgi say I need a set height otherwise they will not connect it. Does anyone know what this height needs to be?

Thanks in advance

The height needs to be at least 760mm above, unless the manufacturer states otherwise. While your at it 50mm around it also.

This may seem like the engineer is being a little picky, but regs is regs. He has to notify corgi of the installation and could be pulled up by them for not following regulations.

Have a look at the manufacturers installation instructions. They often state less. Example being the Leisure Range cookers want just 650mm above but want 75mm either side.

It you don't have access to the MI's reply back and I may be able to assist.
