cooker/hob wiring

Hi,i am fitting a new oven rated at 2.1kw and a hob rated at 6kw,is it ok with regulations to connect the hob via 6mm cable to the control unit which has a socket outlet and use the socket to plug the oven in.
the supply cable from consumer unit is 10mm and around 10 meteres in length.
