cooker supply

i am going to installed a cooker with a rating of 13 amps, is it posslbe to connect this to the kitchen ring main this would be connected via a double pole switch. thanks

Do the manufacturers instructions say its ok? ( if you have them that is )
What is the exact wattage of your cooker? There should be a sticker on the back of it stating this.
 
I thought when connecting a cooker it had to be on it's own supply no matter what the rating. only suggesting this as this is what i was taught when doing my part p and 16th edition i would check my osg or green book but these are on site cheers jez
