I am looking to replace a carpet with SOLID OAK TIMBER FLOOR with a concrete floor as a base. Approx 23sq mtrs. Can anybody tell me an approx cost for a self levelling solution (cant remember name), both materials & labour?

Thanks

All depends how thick the screed needs to go.

BAL Mulitbase or similar form of self levelling screed is what your looking for.

Thanks. I understand a latex layer is being laid but dont know how thick. Can you give me a rough estimate?

Thanks again

I'll give you a ballpark:-

BAL Mulitbase will cover 5 sq/m per 25kg bag at a thickness of 3mm.

So if your floor is level and all the screed is doing is provide a smooth surface then 5 bags should do, a few hours for the guy to come and do it all.

£250 - £300 ballpark.

Obviously if there are areas that need sorting out and building up you'll use more screed and take more time.
