Hi,

Whats the best way of attacking this room?

There was rising damp up to about 1m, i've removed the plaster and the wall seems to be breathing now.

I was considering doing under floor heating, is it worth doing on a property like this or should i just install some cast iron radiators and a new boiler.

Trademen i've spoken too also suggest tanking, but again im unsure if this is a good idea or not.

What do you guys think?

If you tank it or use gypsum base products or cement you will be asking for trouble.

You need to use lime to do the job. I'm off back out of the country in a few days so if you need some advice PM me.
