Apologies for the poor quality of these images, but hopefully they will give you some idea of the issue.

We moved into our house 2 years ago and at the time there was signs of the odd crack in the plaster but we didn't think anything of it. Over time more cracks have begun to develop and it's got me worried. The majority are in the corners of the walls and along the top.

From our understanding a couple of year prior to us purchasing the house the previous owners re-plastered most the house after doing a lot of work to it including putting in a new kitchen and bathroom. Then the house sat empty for a year while it was on sale.

I'm just wondering if it's just poor workmanship or something far worse.

The few solid internal brick walls aren't showing any signs of cracks.

The house is over 100 years old, stone constructions. No signs of movement outside but on one wall the stone rough cast is all cracked and someone put tell tales on the cracks but none have broken in the 2 years we've been here.

This one above is the ceiling upstairs in the hall, this is the only ceiling that has a few cracks on it.

It's difficult to say without seeing for real, but there could be plausible explanations for the cracks seen.

The cracks at the edges/corners could be their plaster repair used plasterboard dot/dabbed before skim. Then either the corners weren't taped, or they were but there's been a bit of drying/movement since. This could explain why you are seeing straight cracks just at these board joins at the corners.

The ceiling cracks could have been just an over skim of an already cracked ceiling and are just coming back.

If the telltales haven't broken and no signs of movement, it sounds like nothing too serious.
How do you feel the quality of the re plastering is? Does it look a professional finish or do you think the refurb was not a high standard (now you've lived with it a bit).

The pros may be able to offer advice for you too.
