Hi

I have a bay window on the front of my house, which is rendered on the outside. In the main bedroom I think the brick work is only single brick.

I experience a lot of condensation, plus I have damp patches on the wall and mold. Is there any reccomendations on what I can do for this

Many thanks

It indeed sounds like condesation, condensation forms when the hot air inside, meets the cold air from the outside, the point of this contact seems tobe your bay window.
The water probably forms on the inside of your window and runs down to the sil/wall.
you need air flow to combat this, not sure if it will cure completly but should help, if your windows are fairly modern check to see if it has a trickle vent and make sure this is open, if not try leaving the top window open a bit at nite.
Hope this helps

Its only in the winter, in the summer it is fine

I will try the window open, but the missus may just close it straigth away!!!!

Ventilation is the only solution, the room should have a vent , if it doesn't then fit one.
